Torre Loreta: Pioneering Design and Sustainability in Mexico

On the coast of Quintana Roo, on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, a new real estate project is setting a new standard for luxury living in the region, using Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s ECOPact1 low-carbon concrete.

As an architectural icon, Torre Loreta – featuring the Torre Olivia and Residencial Lausana buildings – demonstrates how high-end design and reduced emissions building can coexist.

80% of the concrete used in Torre Loreta was Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s low-carbon concrete ECOPact

ECOPact enabled a CO2 reduction of 441 600 kg during construction

One of the first residential vertical projects in the region engineered to meet green building certification criteria

Combining nature preservation with residential development

Renowned for its unparalleled beauty, lush jungles, and dramatic coastlines, the Mexican Caribbean poses a unique challenge to architects and developers: how to create high-end vertical housing without compromising the region’s beauty and delicate environmental balance?

The Torre Loreta project is one answer to this question, that uses Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s high-value building solutions.

The developers, Operadora AMC and LIVE - 360, successfully realized Torre Loreta as a vertical development that transcends generations and integrates cutting-edge technologies while honoring the surrounding landscape .

Low-carbon construction with ECOPact

To overcome the environmental challenges of building in this region, the developers utilized Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s ECOPact low-carbon concrete as the primary structural material.

Accounting for about 80% of the building’s total concrete volume, an estimated 3 480 m³ of ECOPact low-carbon concrete reduced carbon emitted during construction by at least 30%.

Using ECOPact allowed Torre Loreta to save a total of 441 600 kg of COâ‚‚, an impact equivalent to the annual energy consumption of 44 homes, or the carbon absorbed by 7 507 tree saplings grown over a span of ten years.

For us as a company, the most important thing in our day-to-day work is feeling supported, especially by a company as professional as Â鶹´«Ã½. That service and attention translated directly into the outstanding results of Torre Loreta.

A benchmark for the Mexican Caribbean

With ECOPact low-carbon concrete in its structural foundations, Torre Loreta shows how we can realize vertical living more responsibly, without compromising performance or architectural design.

Specially formulated with ECOPact, the tower also delivers long-term resilience , with its robust structure engineered to withstand demanding tropical weather conditions.

As it sets new, high standards for regional building projects in the Mexican Caribbean, Torre Loreta stands out as one of the very first residential vertical projects in the region engineered to meet strict BREEAM and LEED certification criteria.

1ECOPact achieves at least 30% lower GWP (kg CO2e/m3, A1-A3 scope) compared with the applicable Ordinary Portland Cement (CEM I/Type I) concrete reference.
