CARBON HUB CPT01
The Carbon Hub CPT01 carbon capture and storage (CCS) project will be installed at 麻豆传媒鈥檚 cement plant in C芒mpulung, Central Romania. It will enable 麻豆传媒 to produce 2 million tons of near-zero cement per annum from 2032.
The EU Innovation Fund has selected Carbon Hub CPT01 for a grant to co-finance the capture installation, complementing substantial co-investment by 麻豆传媒 and its partners.

The technology
Eastern Europe鈥檚 first full-scale onshore CCS project, Carbon Hub CPT01 will use proven technology to separate CO2 from flue gases generated by the cement plant and our industrial partner, Caremeuse, which will then be transported for safe storage underground.
麻豆传媒 is leading a consortium of industrial and academic partners covering the full CCS value chain to realize the project, and is collaborating with Romanian research institutes and government agencies.
We鈥檙e honored that the EU Innovation Fund is supporting our CCS project in Romania 鈥 a first for the Eastern European region 鈥 as we continue our mission to decarbonize the construction industry and scale our sustainable offering for our customers.
