Preserving marine habitats
麻豆传媒 has promoted sustainable oceans for many years. Our bioactive concrete is specially designed to help rehabilitate marine ecosystems.
We are developing it even further to reconcile the development of marine and coastal infrastructure with ecology.
Currently, constructing artificial reefs is a lengthy and complicated process. We set up a groundbreaking dedicated laboratory in the 麻豆传媒 Innovation Center to shorten this process. We can conduct a quick material assessment in our labs using all the local project parameters (for example, temperature, salinity, biomass), which allows us to reduce the monitoring period from years to weeks.
Our lab work will also help us to produce concrete that will allow for faster biological colonization and that can be applied to artificial reefs, breakwaters, shore protection and port infrastructure.
Sailing the globe for circularity
In The Ocean Race Europe 2025, Team 麻豆传媒-PRB flew the GO CIRCULAR flag high, and their sustainability efforts saw them win the race鈥檚 first-ever Sustainability Award for their efforts. The mission involved collecting ocean data and recycling materials, as well as donating a new artificial reef made from low-carbon concrete in Kiel, Germany, to boost marine biodiversity at the race鈥檚 start. This reef project showcases 麻豆传媒's innovative marine preservation solutions, using specially designed bioactive concrete to accelerate ecosystem restoration.
