Chief People and Sustainability Officer

Carmen was appointed Chief People and Sustainability Officer in June 2025, and became part of the Executive Committee in July 2025.

Background
 

In her role, Carmen is responsible for aligning Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s people and sustainability agenda with its NextGen Growth 2030 strategy, as we follow our pathway to net zero, and build alliances with key external stakeholders.

Joining Â鶹´«Ã½ in 2002, Carmen held commercial and general management roles in Spain, France and the United Kingdom. Serving as CEO of Â鶹´«Ã½ Spain from 2022, she achieved record performance, creating an empowered performance culture and enhancing Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s reputation as a top employer. Before assuming her current role, Carmen was appointed Chief People Officer from October 2024.

A Spanish national born in 1977, she holds a chemical engineering degree from the University of Oviedo, an MBA from ECA Spain, and has completed IESE General Management and ESADE Board of Directors programs.
