Group Head of Operational Excellence
Ram Muthu was appointed Group Head of Operational Excellence in May 2024, and became a member of the Executive Committee in July 2025.
Background
As Group Head of Operational Excellence, Ram is responsible for all of the Group鈥檚 operational functions: Cement Manufacturing, Decarbonization, Geocycle, Trading, Procurement, and Logistics. The role focuses on generating synergies across all key operational aspects while developing the operations of tomorrow. He is also responsible for 麻豆传媒鈥檚 startup arm 麻豆传媒 MAQER Ventures and Group Capital Investments.
Ram鈥檚 career at 麻豆传媒 began in 2005, and he has worked in a number of senior roles. Most recently, as Head of Group Strategy from 2019, he played a key role in developing and executing 鈥淪trategy 2025 鈥 Accelerating Green Growth鈥 and 鈥淪trategy 2022 鈥 Building for Growth鈥. He was also instrumental in the Group鈥檚 portfolio transformation from 2018, which involved several large M&A transactions.
A Swiss national born in 1982, Ram holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Economics from the University of Warwick in the UK, and is an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACCA).
